  <title>Poem - Into Flame</title>

  <description>The poem “Into Flame” is about the curative ways people use fire.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Into Flame&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Healing comes in many forms&lt;br /&gt;transformation reconciled&lt;br /&gt;by a tool this may occur&lt;br /&gt;to the south look for a cure&lt;br /&gt;three ways to use the blaze’s form.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another log tossed to the fire&lt;br /&gt;scribed with runes for the sky&lt;br /&gt;meant for those beyond the pale&lt;br /&gt;asking for the favors writ&lt;br /&gt;on wood consumed as they’re sent.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Burdens put to paper’s face&lt;br /&gt;habits ill to owner’s fate&lt;br /&gt;unwanted troubles sent away&lt;br /&gt;discarded at the wheel’s request&lt;br /&gt;now is time to burn the waste.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Memories haunt the present day&lt;br /&gt;regrets linger where none should stay&lt;br /&gt;these to twigs are assigned&lt;br /&gt;attachments sent along their way&lt;br /&gt;to cleansing fire they are consigned.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now Vulcan’s kin have abet&lt;br /&gt;supplicants with tools at hand&lt;br /&gt;many ways to seed the change&lt;br /&gt;into flame, conveyed by smoke&lt;br /&gt;prayers and troubles sent away.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2016, Sean Green.   <description>The poem “The Red Queen&apos;s Dream” is the second in a series of poems exploring the symbolism surrounding the royal archetypes. Other poems will feature the knight and the knave, as well as the colors of white, blue. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Red Queen&apos;s Dream &lt;br /&gt;Poem for Day 072 – 20141204&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;She sits on her throne&lt;br /&gt;flanked by lions with gold manes.&lt;br /&gt;Element of fire&lt;br /&gt;harboring the caress of water.&lt;br /&gt;Mother of the flame,&lt;br /&gt;she moves forward with desire.&lt;br /&gt;All things her passion,&lt;br /&gt;seeking the whole of satisfaction.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Her hand holds the rod&lt;br /&gt;ready to bloom to life.&lt;br /&gt;She pursues the end&lt;br /&gt;and sustains the vision.&lt;br /&gt;Birthing the Phoenix&lt;br /&gt;evoking cycles of regeneration.&lt;br /&gt;Flowers face toward sun&lt;br /&gt;seeking Apollo&apos;s return.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Beware the dark wrath,&lt;br /&gt;the blasting attack of fire.&lt;br /&gt;With the hot temper,&lt;br /&gt;revengeful fury finds its mark.&lt;br /&gt;Never forgetting,&lt;br /&gt;help or harm submitted.&lt;br /&gt;She will follow you&lt;br /&gt;to help or punish is your reward.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;She sits on her throne,&lt;br /&gt;black cat at her feet.&lt;br /&gt;Flame in its eyes,&lt;br /&gt;white mark the throat.&lt;br /&gt;The dream of water&lt;br /&gt;mixed with the fire&lt;br /&gt;will begin this dawn&lt;br /&gt;and live on ever more.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;© 2014.
