Poem - Spoken Words

This poem is based on a meme that challenged people to think about their spoken words. What if all the words you spoke were printed on your skin? Would you speak differently? My thoughts went to were the words are truly imprinted.

Spoken Words
Poem for Day 024 – 20141017

Could words spoken by you
appear on your fair skin?
What if this were to be?
Would you speak differently?

Words cannot do this thing.
Instead they do much more.
Words appear on your soul.
The spoken pressed within.

Skin is temporary,
visible,
seen only when shown.
Your soul is permanent,
invisible,
but always seen by all.
