Poem - Victoria's Birthday Card

There are people in the world that are immediately special because of something not seen. The outward drops hints, but it is the inner, through action and grace, that speaks. Time deepens this impression, confirming the magic therein. The birthday for just such a person has come around. I’ve written “Victoria’s Birthday Card” for the event.


Victoria’s Birthday Card
Poem for Day 132 – 20150512

A happy birthday,
one of many to come,
to a lovely lady
of grace fair and legs long.

Leader amongst peers,
directing them to the dance,
that's where I first saw you
waiting for a chance at Landmark Hall.

Dance has embraced you,
an outlet for special joy.
Sensual expression expressed,
with entrée into burlesque.

From young adult to woman fair,
you've made amazing strides,
taken on life with a dare,
with assurance and flare.

So much to do, world beware,
she will make your mark on you.
This I know, and wait for it,
as I grow old and she matures.

So remain young at heart,
brazen with conquering spirit,
but most of all, above all else,
always be to yourself true.
