Poem - Warnings Stated

“Warnings Stated” is based on the actions taken by seriously depressed people. Sometimes I find myself trying to put things into place so the worse won’t happen if I weren’t here. Can I come out to state what’s REALLY on my mind? No. I’ll keep relating the pained concerns.


Warnings Stated

Warnings stated that some hear
above the babble of the world
are put aside with deference
to concerns that matter more
competing for dominance
a wilted flower lost sight
slowly dies in front of all
unable to see what will come

the earth waits to receive
with patience to take the gift
'sent too early' all may say
still the hole will be made
pained concern proceeds the fall
hinting of the pain deep within
knowing six feet will be the end
so little time to raise alarm

in due time the tears will fall
this isn't supposed to be the case
there are troubles enough for all
cry still hearts that still care
as the portents trickle forth
until the source is no more
perhaps these words may exist
stating warnings that some may hear.
