My marriage ended when husband left me for a Transylvanian chorus girl from the live stage version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I believe we lack audience participation cue cards and an inability to hear the background music. We then doubt ourselves when we do have these aids.

Your God quote reminds me of a more recent quip:
