On 11/12 I was shopping at a local Ingles grocery store. There I had the opportunity to take two pictures of a wonderful sunset behind the colors of a gas station. I think the second picture is the better. For your consideration...

The scene caught my eye because it was 'as-if' the sunset was originating from the lights of the gas station (or visa-versa). Neat stuff...

Those are gorgeous. The sunsets are what I miss most about being in the foothills of the Appalachians.

What kind of sunsets do you have there by the big water?

They're beautiful over the water, but they're not very remarkable when you're just outside. The largest difference is the oranges and purple - they're incredibly bright in the foothills, whereas the colors are much more muted here, even when you're around the water.

I can remember nights of band rehearsal in Jacksonville when at some point, none of us were paying attention and rehearsal would stop cold just because of the sunsets. Good stuff.
