A sign of a photography addict: while watching a movie about a seriously haunted insane asylum (Boo), complete with killer ghosts, you think "wouldn't it be neat to get some pictures of that place!!!". Sigh... and my lovely mate already worries about some of the places I go for my 'art'. LOL...

My mate makes me take a cell phone so when I fall through the floor of some abandoned house I can at least call 911.

That's the compromise I need to make with my mate. She's mentioned that I need to carry a cell phone when I'm alone and is the right thing to do!

Yeah, as much as we like the freedom to explore things on our own, sometimes we have to realize that other people worry for our safety and do something to calm their fears a bit.

When I have my camera, I feel like I'm 18 again. I go places and do things I wouldn't rationally do without my camera.

Sadly, I've had a habit of climbing up over and walking across places that other people fear to tread even before I picked up the camera. Now that trait serves me well in my quest for those great pics...
