It appears to be a C-17 Globemaster III. http://www.af.mil/factsheets/factsheet.asp?fsID=86

Yeah you can tell its a C-17 by the jump doors on the side.

You can see them in action from this shot from the AirShow here in Atlanta a few weeks ago.

You might want to rename your picture, the plane in it is a C-130.

Yep... the ends of the wings are different.

It is also a turboprop plane and not a jet.
