A Handy Camera

Sometimes having a camera in the car can get one the oddest pictures. On Saturday I was checking out some local thrift stores and I spotted a field of black turkey vultures. They were on the ground and in the trees. This flickr set has all the pictures and below are a sample of what I saw. The field/lot was right off of one of the streets adjacent to the Laurens downtown area.

I didn't look up the totem meaning. Why? a) It was in a very public place and the event was not even marginally unique to me. b) They seem to gather here on a regular basis. They were there again on Monday. Now... If I cruise by another day, and they are not there, I will look it up as I got properly divorced on Monday.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar... (smile).

Kathy Marchant, one of the teachers that I really admire, says that there are times when the group mind focuses and comes together and aspects unify so that things can be shifted and resolved that are not shiftable in the normal course of things. She says that the combination of the challenges (economy and others) and personified dream (Obama and others)

She's VERY dilligent about personal boundaries but at this point in time, she finds that things like totem and IChing work, practiced by people like Kathy (and you) shift the gestalt to the degree it's shiftable.

I think this is a lot of what you do in your dreams.

A cigar is ALWAYS just a cigar. And the space it occupies is always NOT a cigar. The dream is both the shadow and the root of the substance. Most of the time there's not a damned thing we can do relative to that -- it's out of our human reach. But sometimes Reality winks at us and our response is up to us.

You did for some reason take that photo that day and posted it so that we all read it in a certain sequence and timing.

The judge issued the finding, and that is about as proper as it gets. The background is that I've been separated for over four years. It has been one of those things in my life that begged for change.
