Getting older can be a drag physically. I'm coming up on the midway mark of the 40s and my latest ailment is a bone spur type pain in my left foot. Jeezum. Does anybody know how such things are easily treated?

Same age, same condition. I talked to a few clinic docs who narrowed it down for me planar faciatis or some similar spelling or heel spurs. Most easily treated with some good fitting orthotics for your shoes. I get mine from http://www.footsmart.com and my Healthcare savings plan pays for them. I got them for my business shoes and my hiking boots and then I bought New Balance running shoes which have a correct arch support and wear those for driving and everything the other shoes don't take care of. You can also get correct arch support house slippers from that catalog. Then there are exercises you have do to keep the arch from cramping and so on but I find the orthotics work best. I find if I wear mine and walk normally, the pain eventually goes away and stays away for quite awhile. Seems most other people report the same thing unless they have chronic pain. Hope that helps.
