A Tough Thing

Wulfwalker and I watched a show tonight on hording. This is a challenge that affects both of us, but I am the most afflicted. On the surface hording seems like a simple problem. If is trash you get rid of it. If you don't need it get rid of it. These are distinctions that are difficult for the horder to see. One person's trash is another person's treasure. Need is also relative. I may not need it now, and have needed it for the past three years, but I may need it in the future. And then throw on top of this mess the sentimental value aspect. It's a tough thing to tackle. The A&E show tackles this in an intervention style, but IMO the issues tied to hording are much deeper than an one time intervention can address.
