This is a series of reality-bending wise-ass conversations to have with one's very lovely intellegent lady.

Conversation: When your lovely lady talks about a very collectable item (ie a book, LOTR figures, etc.) that she is looking for or would want, mention that you saw several of them at Goodwill the previous week, and decided against buying them. Then innocently ask, "Should I get them the next time I see them?" The true reality of the situation is that they will never show up at Goodwill.

Personal Outcome: This one is so old that acceptance is not possible. However, it is still good for a chuckle, and lovely lady still sighs at my fun-filled attempt at humor. WARNING. This one is very powerful, probably setting you up for being called an asshole.

Mwaw? It's getting harder and harder to pull my lovely ladie's leg. I think she has figured out that I'm a true wise-ass at heart. So much for the nice-guy image...

yeah not funny at all!!

Though I usually have to beg the boy to NOT BRING HOME any more cool stuff. We have plenty of wonderful amazing probably valuable collectable stuff already, and it becomes significantly less cool when it sits around being a big mess.

OH MY GOSH.... I am dealing with a house full of neat-o-keen gadgets and not enough room to store them all. I am now torn with deciding which ones to box up, and probably never see again in my immediate lifetime.

This week I'm tossing stuff while boyfriend is at work. Shhhh. If he finds out he'll be very upset in spite of the fact that he'll probably never realize they're gone. If I wait for him to decide what to keep and what to toss it will never get done.

Fortunately I live alone and nobody but I and myself can throw stuff out. There is a downside to this. Nothing gets thrown out...

Make sure to clean out before you die or someone is really going to be angry that they have to clean it out for you!

Believe it or not... this is one of my primal fears. Most people worry about clean under garments when the truck gets them. I worry about people going through my "treasures", and perhaps, how I would be judged by them.

than it is even more important for you to sort it all out now!!

though I'm sure nobody cares once they're dead...

And for that VERY reason, I began to lighten my own load of "treasures" when I turned 55. What is left to be picked through when I'm gone will probably make me seem mysterious ... they will perhaps wonder what happened to all of my things. I've given away a lot of stuff.

I am evil enough to purposely plant some items to leave people saying "WTF?". Hmmmm... a capital idea!
