kokopelleIn celebration of people who celebrate pies, I wrote a poem about pies, pies, and more pies.
For the Love Of Pie
Poem for Day 043 – 20141105
The Rock loves pie, and so do I!
Make mine an apple crisp, crumble or plain!
I'll try some berries by and by,
maybe blackberry, blueberry, or boysenberry!
Something other than fruit would be fine,
how about chicken and mushroom, fisherman's or pork pie?
Going tropical would bid meat pie goodbye,
with exotic banana cream, cantaloupe, or Key lime!
Too sweet for you? Try vegetable not too dry:
mushroom potato, onion, tomato, spinach and leek!
Some more fruit would delight supply.
Pile on the strawberry, peach, or even cherry!
But wait, there's more says the hue and cry:
Bean, cheese, fish, and pizza pie!
Regional pies would delight:
Mississippi mud, Jamaican patty, or New Zealand meat.
Just please, I beg you crying,
for the love of pie,
don't give me that rhubarb or I'll die!
