Poem - Hair Not a Hipster
Feb. 14th, 2015 10:56 amBased on a true story: the saga of my personal hair styles!
Hair Not a Hipster
Poem for Day 044 – 20150214
Fall of my life,
frost on my roof,
I needed a change
to turn my life around.
I've done the hippy thing,
long hair in a pony tail.
I was the rebel,
clueless without a cause!
Back to short, company man.
Easy to manage, manager.
Yet my heart says express,
do something new with the hair!
I wanted to a hipster,
a lumbersexual to boot,
masculine to the max,
with that Civil War style.
Mustache is not enough,
goatee is too tame,
get the full monty
of face hair extreme.
Grow my beard long,
style the extremes,
the more the better,
to look just like Jesus Christ.
What's old is new,
my role models show,
I'll be young and hip
with my new hair fondue.
But alas my story turns,
sad ending to hair journey.
grown hair recognized
and my spirits discouraged.
My identity was proclaimed
by a coworker of mine.
He nailed my identity,
the message of my individuality
I'm not a hipster,
a lumbersexual to boot,
I'm instead an outlaw biker,
with frost in my beard.
