kokopelleI know some people for whom beauty is worn like a second skin, though it may be tattered and dark. The blemishes speak to a life lived where the beautiful is seen in life continued.
God's Explanation
Poem for Day 131 – 20150511
You are beauty,
that in my world walks.
God's explanation
of both grace and flaw.
On the edge of blessing,
piety disguised,
blasphemy portrayed,
by a heart of gold.
Decoration optional,
only at first glance.
The beautiful underneath
if the surface is incomplete.
Beware if you pursue,
the rose with thorns,
blood will be the price
if you seek delight.
Wicked dancer,
I can't judge you so.
Living life transcends
impressions of lesser souls.
No more to be said,
all has been shown,
living contrarian
with beauty at the core.
