Poem - Loved by Me

The poem “Loved By Me” is dedicated to all the wonderful people who encourage me to push on. While some may know who they are, most do not. I share through poetry my thoughts about their place in my life, and how I wish the vaunted Valentines Day could truly honor them all.


Loved By Me

Valentines day is the time
when couples join, others cry.
I wish it were not this case,
the sentiment seems misplaced.

Roses revoked from the deserved,
candies withheld from the due,
these are not the greatest sins
for the this day when hearts relate.

Anniversary of love's entrance
surely it can mean much more
when admission of appeal
is the goal of adherents.

If only I could share my thoughts
about the beauty I witness,
handsomeness breath taking,
all to honor in this way.

Greater is the thoughtfulness,
creativity and humanity.
I stand humbled by these things
as I struggle to meet the same.

It would be my honor to be with each
of the beaus I hold close to heart.
A thousand days is not enough
to show my love for everyone.

To each my friends far and wide,
you have my happy wishes here.
Know that you are life blessed,
loved by me on Valentine's day.
