Poem - Positions’ Bliss

kokopelle“Positions' Bliss” is about the joy found in mixing and matching the roles of dance and beyond. The reasons may be hidden to outsiders, or even to ourselves at first, but the outcomes are mutually enjoyed by those who participate.
Positions’ Bliss
Select the role near at hand
assume the pose you’d like to take
the dance will start in short time
go to your marks of your choice
outside of gender viewed without
what’s felt within may be bent
we’ll speak from hearts, not the mind
with bodies’ strokes fulfilling needs
from lead’s forceful push
to the follow’s willing give
a top will be found to relate
as the bottom catches joy
it matters not in the noisy end
or at beginning’s trepid start
the goals are soon mutual
focusing on the in-between
consider we’re made to feel
sharing comes all too natural
it’s the roles we’ll interchange
pleasure found in positions’ bliss.
