What makes life worth living?

The excitement of reconnecting with God?

The happy-happy joy-joy of my life?

The sustaining of happy-happy joy-joy in other people's lives?

Fufillment of some pre-life training program?

Avoidance of after-life reprecussions?

Playing nice with others?

Continuance of a cosmic joke?

Because I have to?

Because life is a gift?

Sigh... none of these are working today. Maybe I'm forgetting something.

I think it's an icky day. I fell into a deep depression yesterday afternoon and completely atypically woke up in it again this morning. I ALWAYS wake up sparkly, however the rest of the day goes, but not today.

I ran out and took a quick look on the astrology sites. The only thing I spotted was that Mars moves into Ares today and tomorrow is the New Moon. My knowledge of astrology is comperable to a student driver's understanding of road regulations in a foreign country, but this has caused me to consider that today might be a gateway and this is the release/review time as we dump out our baggage to pack for the journey on the other side of the gate.

I know enough about astrology to have taught it (once a month) for about five years. It's just me, but I don't put too much credence in the transits to explain why life is. I believe natal charts have a lot to say. I also believe that many people disempower themselves with day-to-day explanations of "why things are" based on astrological events. I suppose this is why I don't have clients.

$.02... to each their own reality (smile)

Why is the world so confusing? he said & I said It's only confusing if you think it has to make sense. And he looked at me and shook his head. I can't believe they let just anyone have children, he said.

In my quick glance through the 'net looking for holidays today, that's what popped up. This has that sort of feel to it.

Prince is being a terrorist butt hole to my previous cats. His behavior is putting a damper on the overall pets-as-therapy thing. That said, the kittens are awful cute. I've got to put out new photos!

Here's some reasons I like it here.

I know how you feel.

During the darkest times, when we lose our faith and grounding, that's when we are broken and rebuilt into something much stronger, something much more capable of a deeper love, because we know the deeper despairs.

Sometimes what keeps me going at my darkest moments is remembering that this, too, shall pass (even if it sucks in the meantime) and that I'll be happy again someday.

Seconding what [livejournal.com profile] lupabitch said, as well as the recommendations of kitten therapy. Today may well suck; but tomorrow, or one of the days after it, will be better. Cliche answer, I know, but you know your mood will shift and you'll see things a bit differently. Until it does, sleeping through the gloominess is always a viable option...
