Blog - Definition of Woman
Mar. 18th, 2019 05:31 amWhat is my definition of "girl" or "woman"? This is a question I ask myself but from the transfemme angle. Physically, I am a world apart from being a "girl" or "woman." There is nothing inherently feminine about my appearance. So, what makes me transfemme? Wikipedia says that a transfeminine individual may identify with many aspects of femininity but not describe themselves as "a woman." This rings true for me. I do identify with many aspects of feminity. This lends itself to the world "identity". I have a gender identity with strong sympathies (sisterhood) with women's struggles, I feel very comfortable, even euphoric, in feminine fashions, and most importantly to me, long to step outside the box that's labeled "masculine."
