A final blog entry detailing what I found out about Christian Businesses...

Question: "What principles should distinguish a Christian business?"

I found a short list of answers on the Hideaway Storage website. Are the answers below a monopoly of Christian businesses, or do Christian businesses just do them better? I suspect the latter. Ignoring one or more of these precepts leads to businesses that do more harm than good (i.e. Enron).

So why would a Christian business and a secular business both embrace these business precepts? The Christian business follows these precepts to honor Jesus Christ and the secular business does so because it is the right thing to do, or perhaps it just makes good business sense.

From the Hideaway Storage Website - http://www.hideawaystorage.com/christian_principles

The simple answer is to look at our company purpose statement which is To HONOR JESUS CHRIST by:

SERVING customers with EXCELLENCE
MANAGING assets with DILIGENCE and
BUILDING team members with CARE, and
ADDING value to our COMMUNITY

On 1/27/08 my mate and I revisited Laurens Mill. Some old areas were explored and new areas were discovered. This blog entry focuses on an underground parts room that has survived the massive razing of the structure. There were at least two other similar rooms that had been collapsed, burying their industrial treasures underneath bricks and debris.

All 228 pictures of the revisited Laurens Mill are in this flickr set.
