Would you participate in a ghost vigil? Are there times you would not?

I have participated in ghost vigils before - and I've also elected not to because a place has just given me a 'bad' feeling.

And yeah, I think that place might have ghosts!

I'm not sure what exactly a ghost vigil is . . .but I interact with ghost when there's a workable reason and leave them alone otherwise.

I suppose a ghost vigil would be a case where people purposely put themselves in an environment with tools to capture/document out of the ordinary incidences. Think "Most Haunted" or "Ghost Hunters". There are some reasons why I am not drawn to such things, and I plan to write about that another time.

Then, my participation would depend on the context.

Sometimes people do these sorts of things (like playing with ouija boards)because they're waking up to something in their own experience. If I felt that was authentic and felt that I was a part of that journey, it's unlikely but I might as part of "companioning" someone.

At this point in my life, I would also do it if I was being paid. That's not about right or wrong but rather about my own work to confront and correct my own bullshit. I wouldn't be happy about it, though, I'm not that far along.
