Poem - Poetic Passion

An astute friend thought that my poetry was very sensual. I looked up the word and found a variety of meanings. These ranged from gratification of the senses to deficient in moral, spiritual, or intellectual interests. I'll embrace the former and beg off the latter! With that said, I do aim for the sensual side of my readers. I sought to explore that and came up with the poem “Poetic Passion”. The images in it embody my interpretation of a sensual poem, and my poetic experience I strive to create for my readers.


Poetic Passion
Bonus Poem for Day 100 – 20150101

A gratification
of many senses is my stated goal.
Allow poetry
to blindfold you while the words press in.
Look not to the print,
instead embrace their message of passion.
Feel the verse embrace
you with a world I created just for you.

Take my sharing hand,
lend your life to my verbal wonderland.
It is partnership,
My words, your blessed body, soul, and mind.
I can drive you to
or frantic madness or orgasmic frenzy.
The choice is all yours,
for you are my companion its creation.

Lay back kind reader,
allow my words to envelope you whole,
to caress you there,
as you are consumed with my appetites.
Heighten your senses,
words flow over every part of your being.
My world is open.
You dive into the poetic passion.
