Poem - Fragile Thing

While I do practice monogamy, I find myself in a form of one sided romantic love with multiple people. A review of internet searches shows that this is not possible, or at the least, not recommended. What if I was brave enough to tell my interests of my feelings? The poem “Fragile Thing” address the outcome. These questions haunt many people seeking to express their feelings.


Fragile Thing

If I were to share my love
this frail and fragile thing
bring it out for you to see
what would the response be?

Would you laugh in my face
accuse me of treachery
of worship on a tainted altar
misguided liking gone astray
affection bent to evil deeds
see me as a twisted soul
beloved said into the storm
devotion absent on both sides
attachment from delusion’s seed
fondness not meant for this world
romance delivery now stillborn?

If these are true what shall I do
emotion’s arrows missing mark?
This fragile things shall be crushed
by response made from the heart.
